Dr. Carole S. Disenhof is one of the nation's foremost clinical psychologists specializing in weight/body image, relationship, anxiety, depression and abuse issues. She is a licensed Psychologist in California (PSY 9482). She earned her Ph.D. in Psychology from the California Graduate Institute, Los Angeles, CA, her M.A. in Psychology from the New School for Social Research, New York, NY and her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the State University of New York, Buffalo, NY. She also did undergraduate work at Ohio University, Athens, OH.

Dr. Disenhof did her postgraduate training at California Graduate Institute. She also had numerous years of professional supervision in psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

She studied under Dr. Albert Ellis and has a certificate in Rational Emotive Psychotherapy. She is also trained in mediation techniques. Dr. Disenhof wrote and published her dissertation on weight and emotional issues. Dr. Disenhof is a member of the following associations:
